Mdooter Journal Gains International Recognition in South Africa

19.03.2026

We are delighted to announce that the Mdooter Journal of Communication and Digital Technologies has been identified as a recommended publication outlet for postdoctoral researchers in South Africa.

This recognition is based on the journal’s inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of peer review and editorial excellence. As the South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) recognises journals listed in the DOAJ as accredited, our contributors can be assured that their work meets the requirements for research subsidy and institutional recognition in the region.

While the journal remains a dedicated platform for Nigerian authors, this international acknowledgement confirms that the research we publish meets global benchmarks for quality and academic integrity. This milestone further strengthens our ongoing application for indexing in Scopus and Web of Science, where we have already reached the validated stage.

We congratulate our authors and editorial board for contributing to the growing reputation of Nigerian scholarship on the continental stage.
